I will start this post by speaking very clearly: data = power.

Im going to talk about WorldCoin, its not something new, it has been on the market for months.

This is A GREAT DANGER, but if you still don't know what the project is about, they pay you $50 to scan your eyes and face.

Sell your biometric data or rather, give your data. Because let's be honest, your identity is worth much more than $50.

I have seen many people on many social networks talking about this project, even here on Hive.

I DONT RECOMMEND PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROJECT.

If you receive money for something it means that we are the product.

Let's talk about the risks involved in selling your biometric data.

• 1. They are not responsible for your data. To register you have to agree to waive your right to take them to court if there is a problem with your data.
• 1. They refuse to answer what they will do with the scanned data. Having waived your right to take them to court, they can sell your data to companies or on the dark web without legal consequences (or that's what they are trying to do, because it is illegal in almost all countries to request that requirement to register)
• 1. They promise to have a salary every month to live without having to work. Money is not free, if they are trying to do that, we have to think about where they are going to get the money, right, from our data.
• 1. Every day more applications and devices can be unlocked with the face or with the eyes, a database so large can only mean that one day it ends up in the hands of people with bad intentions and they end up accessing bank accounts, medical history and many more things through brute force. They promise that images are destroyed and stored in hashes, but many devices internally work with hashes, simply launching an attack should be enough to gain access.

Summary: they make you give up your rights, they don't reveal the use of your data, they promise you to live without working. What has been a project with very little transparency.

I never heard of this project, it was something worse, I saw it in a shopping center in my city, about 300 people waiting to scan their eyes, and I heard one person say something concrete, "no, its something about crypto but I dont care, they pay money".

And it's true, they give the token that you can sell, but I ask you, is your identity worth that?

Although probably very few will get to this part of the post, I want to appeal to all the creators of this social network, before talking about what this project pays you, talk about its risks.
