Pining for her body,
He asked her why?
Why now?
I am not in love with your soul
But the body that houses it
I am in love with the arch of your back
Not the spine it took you to surrender
I am in love with your scarlet lips
Not the words that couraged up and proclaimed to love me
I am a shallow being,
Shallow to the bone
The wells in her eyes overflowing now with pain
And a need that even she couldn't understand
A love she knew that would never be returned
Well, she said choking on her own emotions "What is more naked than the truth?
The truth that I am in love with you
What is more naked than the soul?
A soul that stripped down all its clothes."
