to throw together a quick, low effort...

In your opinion, what would you say a low effort post really is?

Personally, I'm one to spend a lot of time trying to perfect my posts β€” especially when it comes to the #weekend-engagement.

On an average, I'd say I spend about 2 hours working on each of my entry. That includes:

  • brainstorming what to write

  • analyzing and concluding what to write .

  • researching inorder to give more accurate information when needed.

  • chipping in extraneous add ons like pictures, videos( one time I made a cartoon that almost killed), quotes, sourced e.t.c

  • proof reading for grammatical errors (although sometimes I don't get everything πŸ˜†)

  • adding hella stressful little codes like for justify, subscript, dividers, quoting, e.t.c. Just so my post doesn't look unattractive to the eye.

This and a couple more end up amountinb to such a staggering length of time and effort just for one post. Sure, it might seem like little work to some people, but it's gets stressful after a while tbh.

But why do I do this you ask? What's my inspiration?...I don't know!... I guess, sometimes it just doesn't sit right with me to make a low effort entry. I don't know... It's just weird you know? Maybe even a little embarrassing. And I HATE embarrassment.

I guess my inspiration is... the person or group of people whom would read it. You see, i want them to be able to delve into my entry, have a good time maybe a good laugh, enjoy themselves, and possibly even connect with me in some way.

Essentially, I'd say i do it for the community and for my own personal satisfaction. But who knows?...Maybe I also do it for the rewards too... And maybe some suppressed lustful feeling within me is simply trying to deny that fact!πŸ˜‚

What do you think?

To be honest, I do feel very uninspired sometimes or just plain lazy to say the least. Infact, sometimes, the thought of writing for the WK-Engagement gets me so stress up, that I just end up passing off for that week.

Sometimes, because of good old serendipity, I do end up finding a pretty good excuse for skipping on that particular week. All this, because I know in the back of my mind, that if I were to end up mocking up something for the concept, i would spend a huge amount of time and effort on the post that will ultimately, take a huge total on my mental and physical abilities.

Often I don't mind the work though. A job worth doing is one worth doing well afterall ey?

P.S: I know this is a long comment. Dear God Galen! I can't believe you're still reading this!

In regards to the whole rewards thing, I'd say do what you like and what you can essentially. Personally, it wouldn't be such a big deal if you withdrew rewards from the concept β€” atleast, even if it's for a little while just so you could fish out the sincere members of the community.

To be honest, what I like most about winning the WK-Engagement, is the fact that I get to see my name there with the other winners at the top.

I don't know... It gives me this overwhelming sense of fulfilment, pride and... power😈

That's right, my post was better than all of ya!!!🎢🎢
