"Enough is enough Lord" Koffi cried, on his bed that night. "I need answers to what's happening to me. I keep struggling but have nothing to show for it. I need answers" he cried. Exhausted from all the troubles in his life. Tears filled his eyes, pain in his voice.
He cried himself to sleep and woke up to find himself in a foreign land, standing on the peak of great mountains and surrounded by a sea of clouds.
He was scared. With absolutely no idea of where he was. But he kept staring staring at the beautiful scenery. Unable to explain where he was.
"Beautiful right?" A gentle voice whispered in his ears.
He jerked and turned to see an old man with a white beard standing behind him. "Where am I?" He asked instead.
"You asked for answers, and that you shall get." The old man said.
"So?" Koffi asked still confused.
"You see that spiral over there?
Koffi nodded
"That's you and your hustle. Constant grinding, persistent, consistent keeps that spiral moving till it gets to the middle point where the huge light is emanating from. The truth is you're almost there but you wish to give up too quickly. Why?"
Koffi burst into tears.
The old man offered him a white handkerchief to wipe his tears.
"You're almost there son. Don't give up now" Then the old man tapped him with his finger, sending Koffi spiralling down the mountain without control.
Immediately, he jerked up from his bed sweating and breathing profusely. It was a dream, he had been dreaming. He checked his bedside clock, it was morning already.
"Another day to try again. I'm not giving up now" He told himself. Then he got up to go get prepared for the day.
