Psalm 75:6-7
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another”
God is good and it is marvelous in our sight. Our above passage is well explanatory. We are in the society where everyone is craving for promotion, to be accepted and lifted from a particular level or height to another and greater level. This happens in our work places, schools, business premises, etc.
Whatever be the case, everyone desires promotion and yes, it is a good desire.
Now if we must ask, “Where does promotion come from
”?
We know often times people make the mistake of looking at the wrong direction for promotions, some even consider it as a MAN KNOW MAN affair. Everyone wants to be promoted but all they think of how to be promoted is through connections and favors of men. But they are wrong and mistaken. Like the bible said that promotion comes neither from the north, south, east, nor west but from God.
It is only God that can promote a man, it is only God that puts down one and lifts up another. Let me share a story. “A man of God, went for a business interview to submit his company proposal to be accepted. On arriving the venue, he met one of his brother in the same faith who claim to be a born again Christian as well. This brother told the man of God that the interview was near over and that all the people who came for it had submitted their business proposal and were waiting to be called in. He told him he was already too late and that he wouldn’t t be accepted that there was no need going to submit again and he was actually telling the truth because the man of God came late. But do you know the response the man of God gave the brother, he said he was going to submit his paper even when he wasn’t certain about the promotion but at least he was willing to try and not just give up. The man of God did as he earlier said, submitted his business proposal. And to everyone’s amazement, even the brother that told him he couldn’t make, the man of God got the Job, his proposal was accepted and so he was given the contract”
Now tell me, isn’t God just amazing? Just from the story; who do you think gave that man of God that contract? It was God who did so. It didn’t come from the east nor west, north nor south but it came from God. He did put down every other person and exalted that man of God. This is how the father works, in a mysterious way. He exalts the right and humble in spirit.
CONCLUSION
Promotion comes from God and not from human connections, it comes from the almighty. He giveth and he taketh, he exalts and abases.
God bringeth down one and lifteth another. Promotions comes from him and him alone.
God does exceedingly abundantly, more than we could ever think of. Trust in him, put your confidence in God and make him your only life support, everything comes from him and him alone, even your promotion.
