It has been 2 big vacation weeks since our last discussion of positivity on the blockchain but @wesphilbin knows how life is. Positivity is best when shared and we often have to be reminded to linger and think good thoughts. #thoughtfuldailypost is the tag we like to use and @thoughtfulposts is the curation account to whom we have delegated to boost its power to reward thoughtful posts.

Here are a few things that battled their way through plenty of work and vacation these last 14 days.

Teach Them HOW to Think

Margaret Mead is a cultural anthropologist from the 20th century who played a large part in the sexual revolution in the 60s due to her exposure of sex attitudes in traditional southeast Asian cultures. This has more to for with kids which has been more up my alley the last decade and a bit.

When my little one was...littler, I thought it would be progressive and teach her to think about things before agreeing. Occasionally proclaiming a square was a circle so that she would catch it and speak up about the error. What a pain in the ass I created when I decided to do that. Hopefully it will become worth it as she fully develops her brain, perspective and wisdom. Hopefully I have created the good kinda monster.

Either way, I agree with Margaret and believe to teach them how to think and try to act as a good enough example so that they learn to use it constructively.

Challenging the facts and popular opinion is a little punk rock. Dead Kennedys are really punk rock.

Just Do

Conrad Hilton is apparently one of THOSE Hiltons. Hilton hotels and Paris Hilton and all you would expect of a republican white dood that lived almost 100 years and created an empire.

Whether or not that whets your appetite, I dig this sentiment. Like probably everyone, I had to overcome my fear of failure on my way to a life of adventure. Any moments of depression for me seem to be cured by doing. It is amazing how much success comes from doing and how much failure comes also from doing. Without the possibility of failure, the value of success will never be realized. In short, I have learned to just do. I would encourage you to do the same and see what success happens.

Ain't nothin' gonna break a my stride. Ain't nothin' gonna slow ma down. Oh no.

Lead

This one speaks for itself. We are all connected. You are the leader. May not feel like the truth all the time but knowing it is even when it doesn't seem so will make things clear and let you know who is gonna get it done.

We are the world. So fun to look back on this after over 30 years. Icons had it right back then.
