Passion

The stories that accompany his journey through life becomes some of the most fascinating and visceral art. Strange and intriguing character whose actions and creations still echo 130 years later.

I am not sure I am interested in dying much at all but given these options, I would choose the former. I bet anyone reading this would agree. I don't suppose this statement is meant too deep or exclusive but I enjoyed it just the same. Reinforcing the universal fact that we are all going to die, we have the choice to spend that finite amount of time daring boldly, or playing it safe. Personally, I choose to do a bit of both but fight the battle many probably do when getting up off that couch with passion.

I guess anything short of making the darwin awards, we should spend our time living, and dying with passion!

I keep trying to think of my favourite song about passion and all my mind is giving me is Billy Joel. Pressure!

Time

@astoicsfeed is a handle on Instagram which I have probably quoted before. Plenty of deep thoughts and 375k followers makes me think they should find a decentralized home on #Hive!

This is a couple substantial statements in one but it works. Not sure who the quotes are for but I was thinking how regrettable it is not to realize how fleeting time is. We are born with a seemingly endless supply of it, waste a great deal of it, and probably come to late to realize ours is drawing to a close. Realizing that time is irretrievable is a gift in and of itself and helps up appreciate the second thought.

Knowing time is fleeting and is indeed a gift, we are in the position to spend it more wisely. What is wisely? We may have to spend a lot of that time developing the wisdom to know what wisely is for each of us. Perhaps that is the epitome of respecting your time and using it wisely.

I am just thankful for, thus far, not having yielded to the universe that is trying its best to kill me. Here's to respecting the gift of time we receive from this point forward.
