Good evening legions of followers and scads of newcomers to the Weekly Zekely. Every week, I dive into the picture on my phone, review the fun and progress I have made, and remember moments I may have forgotten because I was too busy or had too many beers!

'Tis the season I suppose.......I try and wait as long as possible to put up the tree and deftly delegate that to the decorating committee which is comprised of the females in the house. I can't begrudge them from getting inspired and feeling happy about nice decorations, a change in scenery and excitement for the family and presents this season brings. This isn't the best picture of the tree but I snapped it quick to send to my mom to prove that we have it up for the kids ;)

One of the neat parts of the tree is this ornament. When I got my purple belt a couple years back, one of my long time training partners (who got her blue belt at the same time) made this for me. She has probably forgotten she made them for a few of us back then but I am reminded how awesome the family at BJJ is.

Speaking of BJJ, it was a big week for that too as we came home from a successful tournament (If you are so inclined, you can check out the details here https://steemit.com/bjj/@zekepickleman/gold-hqizmsyz and here https://steemit.com/dtubesnap/@zekepickleman/5ammgcwd) We had or annual promotion day at the academy where people who have trained consistently get their stripes and sometimes graduate belts. OSSSS!

I will have to blog about this more in an expose on a fabulous restauranteur and a @tasteem review when I get a full meal there. The new restaurant Old Man & Son had a series of soft opening where they invite people to come dine, pay what they want, and give the staff and cook a chance to work on their game and prepare for the grand opening. I did the point of sale system and networking for this restaurant and am a big supporter of Jessie and here growing empire. Can't wait to have breakfast there finally and get some of the bacon they smoke themselves in the smoker!!

I did get some gaming in too as a group of us get together virtually for a game of The Division. It is a neat co-op game where you are taking back New York from gangs and thugs after a virus outbreak decimates the city. I was able to wrap my rifle in some festive skin and stumbled upon a grimy santa jacket to wear too.

I did a little winter driving which is kinda mundane to me but makes for good conversation with folks from around the world who don't see a lot of snow.

A little closer to home for STEEMians and crypto folks, I ran into this while doing some Christmas shopping in a very popular mall. So neat to see it while doing stuff I have done all my life and seeing Bitcoin nudging the surface. I jumped back a little at the price of ETH and BTC until I realized it was in CDN$ I be this would be a neat way to change some spare change into your BTC wallet and not have to go through banks and exchanges. The service fees are quite high for what I have heard but still neat.

I did get into a lot more silliness including another round of 5-mic karaoke in the studio that lasted too many hours, too many beers and too much @davedickeyyall that would have been fun to show but I forgot to take pictures and the musicians don't generally like unpolished jam sessions making it to video on the intarweeb. Next time!
