#ThoughtfulDailyPost has become my weekly jam as I spend some time considering the sentiments delivered to me through my social network. As always, @Wesphilbin waves the flag for us and runs @thoughtfulposts as the curation account that rewards thoughtful posts. Please share your positive vibes on the blockchain and consider delegating.
So great to pause and process, then share in conversation with #hive community members. Consciously curated music to go with each!
Good character will get you respect. Perhaps not so much by people with bad character but you can't please them all. When considering the value of power compared to respect, they both seem pretty damn good to me. Would my character bear the weight of that power? Would being a powerless but respected person be fulfilling?
I believe building character is as much of a lifelong pursuit as acquiring knowledge and that they can be done in parallel. I bet if balanced out, great things can happen.
This is the greatest vocalist ever in my opinion. Respect.
With so many people embracing solitude and avoiding contact with others, I believe it is a denial of our sole reason to exist. We create so many problems for ourselves and complicate things enough to lose track of our true purpose. What is that? Depends on the person you ask. For me, it is the impact we have on other organisms in this universe that is all we can contribute.
That being said, how powerful can a smile be and how profound can a friendship be? How can an avoided fight become something positive and lasting? One personal connection through a simple look can cement a union that echoes for decades.
One person will change your life. Many times. You will change many lives. You get to choose how you do so and it is the only meaningful power we have.
I should have put on Bob Marley's song of similar title. I chose this one, even though I am not much of a fan of U2, because we have to carry each other as One.
