Wow this is quite a project but increasingly valuable when looking at the state of the world. Great to see there are savings and it can pay for itself over time. Otherwise, it feels like a good investment to be able to be self sufficient and not have to rely on a centralized grid.

Assuming esssentials are always going to be available and stable is not very wise and an investment to mitigate that risk for your family is a good one in my mind.

Some day I hope to get into solar too!
