My friend @crypto.piotr sounded the alarm for his network of dedicated steemians to feedback this post.
The groups and gathering of likeminded people is fantastic for STEEM. To land here and go search out popular tags you enjoy, network with people and plug yourself into the community is not as intuitive as it could be for sure.
I am not sold on the HIVE thing and random number as far as branding goes. For example, I am with @steemitbloggers aka #powerhousecreatives. In the past, I would simply put powerhousecreatives as a tag somewhere in the list and I preferred to have the subject matter first (eg: #beer) so that it was listed as the main tag. Then the family at PHC could still search it out and have it show in the list,
Now, adding a strange HIVE word, and not very descriptive number, and having to enter that as the first and predominant tag isn't the best. I will admit to not having dug too deep into the changes, leaving that to the technical people in my list, and trying to stay relatable to the new folks which are the future of the blockchain. That being said, I hope this is just a small step in the greater plan which will personify those hive numbers and make it so that even every moron on the planet finds it easy.
It is early on and I look forward to how this will shake out.
