I have always loved Leo Finance for the blockchain gateway it is for financial enthusiasts. I have held and staked tokens from the initial airdrop and supported my old friend @khaleelkazi just for the sake of it. Lately, I really enjoy watching the innovation and progress from the VIP seats so I may as well contribute with some financial perspective from my wild world on https://leofinance.io/
This week is all about Crypto, Hive, and a bit of real life community-based entrepreneurship.
You know I have to start with a PHUD when the date is June 1st. The old guard knows well what Power Up Day is but the new people, possibly even just starting with Leo Finance and don't know much about Hive may want to check out @traciyork's post here @traciyork/welcome-to-hivepud-hive-power-up-day-june-1st-2021
In short, we have gotten into the monthly habit of saving up our content/curation rewards and scooping up discount $Hive in dips on the exchanges, and uniting in brilliant blockchain bravado to power it up to our stakes.
This month, I conservatively hedged some Bitcoin and ETH trades into FIAT to pad my BTFD fund. While I awaited the real bottoming of those stores of value, I invested a bit in the arbitrary dips in Hive, knowing the community and lower market cap make it rebound a little quicker in value. Though it has, it is much more valuable to me powered up. I have noticed my curation rewards increasing in percentage of earnings, and get to drop bigger rewards on the folks, engagement and content I support. Then there is the prospect of the new initiatives and integrations which could result in more great airdrops.
Anyhow, I am increasingly disappointed in the overall percentage increase of my stake by month. Less than a 5% increase this month but imagine pumping $168 USD in just a month into a retirement savings. Not bad. I simply have found a retirement fund that has a strong potential to go 10X in value in my humble estimation.
Either way, another brick in the foundation and I will see you again next month.
I have the pleasure of running a digital marketing company with a couple fantastic partners on a quest to help local businesses in our small town. We haven't settled into a content creation routine yet but you can check some of our stories at @town.crier
We are members because this is an age-old organization that is made up of the owners of many local businesses who support eachother. #shoplocal was always a noble effort but it is an absolute necessity for this community which is predominantly dependent upon tourism drawn primarily by the Stratford Festival https://www.stratfordfestival.ca/ which has been cancelled by covid. What a mouthful to read and even more so as a new business.
It is an honour to be nominated and we will just keep trying to help the community through its small businesses. Those are the stories that make everything happen for us.
