Once a week, I like to take a trip back through my phone camera pictures and see if there is enough cool stuff to aggrandize for a lifestyle post. Sometimes there are neat perspectives, cool shots, or even a picture that will help me tell a story. Perfect for a weekly post for a #hive blogger looking to create content daily.

This week, I am catching up on 3 weeks in the land of Zeke and celebrating the season.

Coffee Time

We serve some fantastic coffee at our office (only 1HBD!) and word has gotten out! That was the point of To Bean or Not to Bean partnering with @town-crier / Town Crier Marketing but it sure came in handy. The downtown business association were in a jam for a place to host morning coffee & networking so we brewed an extra large pot to share.

Is it Winter Yet?

It was only a week or so ago that winter appeared out of nowhere. A foot of snow overnight as the first snowfall and it was time to hit dogwars. My little dood doesn't care about rain or heat or snow when it comes to hitting the dog park. In this visit, I remembered how he runs with his bottom jaw down to scoop up mouthfuls of snow like a slushy. It has since melted but I am looking forward to more soon.

I have a #marketfriday post all teed up but this can be the foreshadowing. Being a supporter of #shoplocal, the artists, artisans and creators are some of the best businesses to support. This week, they gathered together in a huge show I will share for the crafty people.



Wouldn't be a good tease without a real taste. This is only about 1/3 of the show from a distance so be sure to tune in Friday.

Music, Food and Charity

I am so proud of my little one as she has not only found her way onto the school symphonic band, but has been at it 2 years and really loves it. This week, they held their christmas concert and played all kinds of classics across many denominations. Some really great musicians will be going on to take music in university which speaks well for the music program.



Besides all of the practice that went into the fine performance, the event was also a food drive for the local food bank. So much food was donated that they had to get a second load and the kids should be proud of themselves for that too.

Speaking of food and charity, I was able to do some work for a local church who needed a little technical wiring expertise. You can see my boxes of cable in the top right by the stool. From the top of my ladder, I caught a neat angle on their biweekly food distribution session. Many of the grocery stores donate extra food instead of marking it down or throwing it out and this organization gives it out to anyone who needs it. Nice to see the community sharing.

Hosertime

As you may have noticed from the snow picture, it was time to get the winter tires on as it is safer and we actually save money on car insurance when we have them. These guys at Honeycraft Tire always take care of me, serve coffee and do a great job. It is like the Canadian gang sign.

A Small Celebration

Besides all that outside stuff, I did some celebrating with the family too. @evileddy bought me a cake for my birthday. Sure it was still in the box but I baked and decorated the hell out of it! This beauty has been dubbed, Chaos Cake and A Crash Course in Diabetes but it worked out pretty well! Do it yourself and share with friends and family for the best birthday cake experience.



You KNOW there is beer usually involved and this week is no different. I featured this tall cool thing in this week's #beersaturday post and enjoyed an American version of a Belgian wheat beer over a dinner with family. Sublime indeed.

The sun has gone down on a couple fun weeks as the seasons decide whether they are hanging on to Autumn or ready for Winter. Should be a couple fun weeks of finishing off the business year and leaning into a little time off when it presents itself.
