Time management is a mental task for me. It may sound wired but I think we can control it more in our mind rather than what we can physically control our tasks. It's totally possible to make a good plan in our mind and ruin it while implementing it. But if we use some tactics we can improve this.

First we have to understand that we need to do things properly to manage time. It's not just a mind game but needs mental technique. It's like putting the right mental effort to finish any task but doing that task physically. If we don't put the mental effort then there's a high chance to not follow and accomplish the tasks at the end. That's why mental techniques are essential.

Put yourself ahead of 'tasks'. Visualize what you are gonna do after finishing one task. It will give you more grip on future and will help you to understand how much time you need and what you actually need to do now. But this doesn't mean that we have to make ourselves lazy or too busy doing tasks. You can avoid putting tasks off and multitask both, just by making a proper time plan in your head.

When you have to work on a new project after a meeting, think about how you are gonna do that before even joining the meeting. It's not like rushing into it but making a good plan to be ahead. Not only that making up in mind what we are gonna do, when, and how gives us a better grip on our future plan. And you will see how helpful this is in every part of life.

Make yourself mentally tactful to manage time better rather than just working on to-do list and finishing tasks.
