Her eyes flitted open as she roused from her sleep.
The sun kissed her skin as it rose over the mountains to the east. The grey stone beneath her slowly warmed in the light. Her muscles ached.
Using her hands to sit upright, she glanced down and inspected her body. She considered her nakedness unremarkable but stopped on an unusual black mark on her stomach.
She reached down to scratch it with her fingernails, and it stuck to her body like glue. Shrugging, she stood and gazed around the quarry. Water rushed from the stream above, its sounds having lulled her to sleep that previous night.
She collected her clothes from a nearby tree and began getting dressed. Her blouse had just barely dried in the cool night breeze, the cold cotton tightening her skin as it wrapped around her body.
