Jericho glides gracefully to the end of the street on wings of white and dappled grey. His eyes spy a gentle frog, who washes himself in the lake not too far away.

     “You’re rhyming!” Jericho shouts.

“Not likely,” I retort, my voice reaching out.

The frog hops, and waves at the drone. Jericho watches, before diving alone. A fox interrupts, scooping the frog with his rough little beans.

“Beans,” Jericho complains, “What the hell do you mean?”

“I mean his little pads, on his little feet.”

“Why not say paws?” Jericho bleats.

“Quiet and capture that frog!” I call to the bird with a mean-spirited bellow.

Jericho circled back and focussed on the red furry fellow.

The prompt was double pointed, it created a stir. I thought a little about it and realised I might prefer to write some nonsense, or maybe a poem. If Jericho were real, and sat on a fence, perhaps it would be best if I were to show him.
