BE AMAZED BY ANIMATED CORPSE
ANIMATED CORPSE
A fledgling Dark Eternal is also known as an Animated Corpse. Emerging from the Tar Pits of Creation in the Southern Waste of Mortis, each fledgling must first shed what remains of its mortal flesh. While in decay, the Animated Corpses are placed on the front lines to speed their transition.
LINE UP AND POSITIONING
Summoner: ZINTAR MORTALIS
Reason for Picking: A great summoner that negates 1 melee attack on the enemy monsters on the battlefield.
First Position: HARKLAW
Reason for Picking: A legendary card monster that reduces damage from any melee and range attacks. It was a nice pick on my end as this monster literally carry my team on a 99 mana battle.
Second Position: ANIMATED CORPSE
Reason for Picking: A good second tank to have and honestly for a 99 mana cost battle it's a risky choice as I was not able to utilize the much higher mana monster available that can provide more damage and health. However, in the end, Animated Corpse might provide luck on the team to defeat the enemies.
Third Position: MANTOID
Reason for Picking: A good range attacker that provides snipe (even it was not used in this battle due to game ruleset). A nice piece to add if you need some damage, health, and good speed.
Fourth Position: GOBLIN CHARIOT
Reason for Picking: Also a good ranged attacker with slight speed than Mantoid but has lesser health.
Fifth Position: TWISTED JESTER
Reason for Picking: One of my favorite range attack monsters in the Death Element team, a low mana cost monster with 2 damage and 3 speed plus 4 health.
Sixth Position: GARGOYA DEVIL
Reason for Picking: A good fit at the last position in any team as this is a neutral monster. A range attack monster with close range and flying ability.
BATTLE ROUNDS
Game Rules: Fog of War
Mana Cost: 99
(PLAY BY PLAY)
ROUND 1
Reaction: At the start of the first round after seeing the enemy summoner and team, I really thought I made a big mistake in picking my team.
ROUND 2
Reaction: At the start of round 2, when I saw a lot of damage has been negated by Harklaw, I felt good about it and started to gain some momentum.
ROUND 3
Reaction: In the third round, the ruleset also helps in my team's favor as sneak and snipe don't apply and the main focus of the damage is only at the first position.
ROUND 4
Reaction: In the fourth round, Harklaw still dominating my team and it's really impressive taking all the damage around and just absorbing some of it due to the monster's ability.
ROUND 5
Reaction: In the fifth round, as soon as the enemy's tanks are gone I knew to myself that I'm close to a victory due to the fact that my opponent monsters left are all range attackers.
ROUND 6
Reaction: In the sixth round, Harklaw still doing his thing and enemy monsters can't do any more damage.
ROUND 7
Reaction: In this final round, only 1 range attacker is left behind with no close range ability and 1 against 6 monsters are too much for my opponent. My team survives the battle and we become victorious!
Battle Results Reaction:
Overall, I have not expected this to be a dominating victory against my opponent on a 99 mana battle, but the legendary card "Harklaw" carries the team and Animated Corpse literally becomes animated as the monster never got used, damaged, or beaten up.
Tell us about your lineup
My lineup is consists of 2 tanks, and 4 ranged attackers.
Did your strategy work?
Yes, I was surprised though to see how great a Harklaw tank is and really love to use Animated Corpse in this battle, for sure his presence or moral support on the team on the battlefield makes a big difference.
What will you try differently next time?
Depending on the league I will be playing or the ruleset and mana cost that will be available, I will definitely love to try a maxed out Animated Corpse and added with some maxed-out monsters around him will give me some new strategies to form and soon to be used in the future battles.
Do you like the ANIMATED CORPSE? Why or why not?
I like using ANIMATED CORPSE in a low mana cost battle and with a game ruleset of 4 mana and below are only available to use. This monster is a good tank with a low mana cost of 4 and has a 2 damage plus 6 health even at level 1.
