People like to interact on microblogging platform as you don't need to type long message. All you need to write 240 character message which make microblogging platform an easier and efficient way of engagement and interaction with people.
Although twitter has billion of use around the globe. However, twitter is not a place which give you freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is almost next to impossible on centralized platform.
