Kn0wlede is power
Self-awareness — or knowing too much — isn't always good for mental well-being.
When we were children, we were told:
"Knowledge is light. Knowledge is power."
But no one tells us that knowledge isn't always light.
Sometimes, knowing too much makes you anxious.
You see consequences before they happen.
You overthink decisions.
You constantly worry.
You know the difference between right and wrong, and when you fail to do the right thing, guilt follows close behind.
The more aware you become, the more you notice—your own flaws, other people's contradictions, and the harsh realities of life.
Knowledge can help us grow, but it can also become a burden when we carry every truth without learning how to live with it.
Perhaps the hardest lesson isn't learning new things.
Perhaps it's learning how to live peacefully with what we already know.
