I will show you how I made this guitar using paper and a carton and a few other materials.
Materials and Tools Used
- Carton
- A4 Paper
- Top gum
- Pin
- Thread
- Scissor
- Razor
- Pen
Now let's get to the process and steps to show how I made this.
Steps And Processes
As usual, the first thing I did was to sketch out the shape of the guitar on a plain carton.
I applied gum to the carved shaped and then pasted the A4 paper, and trimmed out the edges, and left it still with the original or initial shape of a guitar.
I measured out the size of the carton I needed to round the guitar box. I cut them out and set them aside.
This is when I finished with the gumming. I did it all around, on both sides of the box.
I measured out the size of the guitar handle from the remaining peeled piece of carton. I drew a tiny circle on the body of the guitar box, carved it, and then measured/ cut a round and rectangular shape piece and gummed everything together.
Here is the back view of the box guitar. It is plain white without any design or anything attached or applied to it just like in the normal box guitar.
Another shot of the process from a different angle.
I love this one in particular because it is a little darker and I love dark images lol and not something too bright.
Viola! the finished result, I made it stand tall to see how it would look.
After setting both carved shapes of the guitar box, I grabbed another piece of carton and peeled the smooth layer off leaving it with the stroke layer. I like this layer a lot.
I picked the layer I cut for the rounding, applied gum to both sides, and gum the guitar box.
Here is the side view of the guitar box.
After that, I dotted the handle with a blue ink pen and also dotted the piece below the guitar box.
Sideward view of the previous process. The dots are not really visible here because it's sideward.
I used a needle and thread to attach those strings you have there.
In case you need a brighter view, here it is, the same process.
And of course, I tasted the final result with a darker region too.
And that is all the steps and process for making a box guitar using carton and paper.
This one wasn't as time-consuming as the drum kit, so I believe anyone who is interested can try this. Promise not to take your time lol. And I hope we like this.
Now we look forward to another instrument.
See you all next time!
