I took a bit of time this afternoon to do some Hobbying. Time is short and precious since I worked yesterday and had a bunch of errands to run today so half the day was spend on those things.
With a few hours to myself, I spent the time looking for and assembling some more models and then painting models.
Here is the progress:
One of the Blood Claw squads is going up to 15 man strong. I will need to paint all the shoulder pads the same so I can tell the difference between the units.
This is the one Space Wolf Lieutenant model from the Combat Patrol Box set. I gave him a different head and shoulderpad and he will be my Rune Priest (Librarian)
This is what the Original model looks like.
This is the "Primaris Apothecary" model. He will become a Wolf Priest healer since I am running him in a Vanguard Strike Force. Wolf Priests are the Space Wolf equivalent of Chaplains AND Apothecaries... thus here comes the blurred lines in this regard!
To make him look the part, he has this shoulderpad with the fur and bags on it.
Additionally, this model is going to be painted with black armor and that is going to confuse a lot of players... until I have to educate them to Space Wolf lore!
Here is the squad on customer 3D printed bases and a LOT of customization!
And now they all base coated. Now you can hardly tell. I cannot wait to see them fully painted! Each guy has so much character to them! (OK, except maybe the meltagun and flamer wielding guys. Maybe I should do something about that...)
Wolf Priest Healer and Rune Priest also got base coated.
Around 4 models got this treatment before supper time. I pretty much heavy dry brushed their armor colour on the armor panelling, leaving recesses dark.
Here you can see two of the pack got the same treatment... but then I needed to pack away and get the table ready for supper.
Together this mass of infantry looks really impressive! Would you guess that this is only half the army that this will turn into?! The Battlefield will be COVERED in Space Wolves!
Mwahahahahaha!
Well... hopefully I shall have some time to do a bit more painting during the week!
Thank you all for reading!
