Ive been sick for the last two days with a tummy bug. Might be something that I ate... or might be something to do with how certain people are washing the dishes.

Anyway I feel better today. I so went out into the garden for a bit to see how things were doing!

This is what the little tomato sproutlings are doing! They grew quite fast in the last couple of days despite the cooling weather. I have to admit that this is a bit of an experiment but let's give it a go!

Meanwhile the little forest of Basil is doing well, but I noticed something strange...

The edges of some of the Rosemary are curling inwards. I have never seen it do that before. Any ideas why it might be doing this?

I did harvest from the plant. Maybe I cut it here?

The watermelon is doing alright. It is not so round anymore, seems to be elongating now. We shall see if it manages to ripen at all because I have read up on it and generally it needs warmish nights to do well.

We shall see!

I had raided the bricks for this bed to build a temporary braai... I will need to do something else here. I might be doing a sort of a raised bed here though...

The pots are also free and have been emptied. I keep them up here because the cats like pooping in them if they are on the ground... they are weird. I know.

My test on the big Spekboom seems to be doing well. I had only picked off some of the leaves of the branches and the leaves seem to be regrowing where they had been plucked.

Other twigs I had cut off and then plucked got planted like cuttings and looks like most of THOSE are also doing really well! I will have many more Spekboom trees!

Here are some more of the Spekboom cuttings. The big one that I have in the back is not from that first batch but actually a cutting that I had gotten from juliadick@juliadick when we went to visit them (and I had not realized that that I was getting a big one of these from Claire's mom's place that was actually one of Claire's plants.

Apparently these guys are great for fixing up the environment but I just know that I use them to make chutney! lol

I still have a big 750g Mayonnaise jar from the last big batch that I had made. When I make another batch of this yummy stuff I need to make it spicier. I will need to start growing my own chilies...

Right. There we have it! The garden is still doing well despite my absence. This gives me hope that should I go away for a fiew days, a good water before hand should see all the plants survive and thrive. We are now definitely in Autumn and it is raining outside while I write these words.

I have never grown much in the winter before so this will be interesting. I do have some Cauliflower busy germinating. So let's see how that works out!

Thank you for reading and see you all next week!

Cheers!
