Good day everyone!
Zak here from Cape Town South Africa!
Without a working car, my partner, @clairemobey would not be able to get to and from work, she also would not be able to drop off and fetch the kids from school.
The car gave us an ABS fault error, but after unlocking it with the service tool and jump starting the car - turns out it is a battery problem. Tested the battery - dead. So R1460 for a new one please! My monthly budget does not have a R300 spare on it!
That was ONE of the things. I also had no money for my daughter's birthday or money for a new school blazer. All in all $250 of my savings was needed! This is a substantial amount of money compared to my income.
Thankfully, I had HBD savings! Because I had monthly targets to grow my HBD savings, I had accumulated enough to cash out in order to fix the hole in my monthly budget.
The message is clear: Keep blooging on Hive and keep saving up the HBD!
Back to the drawing board then!
Before I had to withdraw, my progress looked like this:
A simple but affective target, I save $22 in HBD in January, $23 in February and so on. I pulled ahead... far ahead... now I need to backtrack this...
I only have $49 is savings right now:
Thus, if I roll back my deposits, I get the following:
Looks like I am back to January 2023...
And now will load up what I have since my current bills have settled...
I now need $2.927 to finish January, $23 for February and $24 to do March. In total $50.927 is what I need to add to savings to get back on to par. If I do not reach there during march, I will need to put whatever it is that I am outstanding on to April's $25.
Let's see how I do!
Thank you for reading!
Cheers!
