40k - Space Marine Detachment Dispositions already reviewed

Hey everyone! I explained in this post all about how 40k Detachments in 11th edition is going to completely determine how you play in the sense that when you match with your opponent, you need to compare your and their disposition.

So now I will need to go into all of the Detachments that I have reviewed in the "modern" time setting and update the Dispositions. I will update the old posts but I wanted to run thround the implications here as well as the DP cost.

In a standard 2,000pts game, you can have 3DP worth of detachments. Meaning you could field 1x 3DP, 1x 2DP+1x 1DP or 3x 1DP Detachments. Before the tournament starts, you need to choose which one of those Dispositions will be yours for the tournament.

So far I have reviewed the following:

In a Nutshell these are the Archetypes:

Take and Hold

Focussed on holding objective on their side or the centre:

Anvil Siege Force

Only one for now, the Anvil has the bonus of giving the army Heavy on all weapons which is bonus for handing still and shooting. Fits. Take, hold, shoot.

Priority Assets

Focussed on taking the board towards the enemy, especially the centre and the opponent's home.

Gladius Task Force
1st Company Task Force
Blade of Ultramar
Emperor's Shield

Gladius is the go-to Tactical Detachment and Blade of Ultramar is the Ultramarine version of that. 1st Company is elite-centric and Emperor's Shield is the Imperial Fist, Terminator-centric Detachments. So between tactics and elite troops, take over key objectives from the enemy.

Purge the Foe

The focus is on destroying the enemy and taking the board after.

Ironstorm Spearhead
Firestorm Assault Force
Forgefather's Seekers

Easy focus here. Ironstorm increased the reliability of damage output across all units and a focus on tanks and Dreadnoughts. Firestorm and the Forgefather's Seekers both give Assault to range weapons which is advance and shoot - find and eliminate the enemy!

Disruption

The focus is on messing with the opponent, disrupting plans, harrying the enemy, and delaying them.

Spearpoint Task Force
Shadowmark Talon

Stormlance and Spearpoint are the Advance and Charge armies... usually used by Space Wolves to get into the enemy and PURGE them... now focused on Disruption. That will be different.
Also Shadowmark Talon and Vanguard Spearhead were the same in being sneaky, but one is Distrution and the other Reconnaissance.

Reconnaissance

As the name suggests, the focus is on scouting out the enemy and completing objectives that align to this goal.

Librarius Conclave

It makes sense that the sneaky Vanguard are Reconnaissance. Librarius being Reconnaissance is interesting and possibly a way to flip a 2DP Detachment Disposition from something else to this Disposition.

Afterthought.

I will probably need to do another one of these posts per faction once I have reviewed all of the Detachments available for a faction.

Though it must be noted that Space Marines tend to get to most attention so I should not bother updating too much.
