DEFEND THE SUN

At three in the morning I waited
Bright lines on the horizon
After a night that is too dark
Even though the light is the same

The moon seems to give a promise
In the morning you might come back
Bright day of a loner
Or dimly dampen hope

Still silent looking up at the sky
And if you later shine
I'm willing to look at you until I am blind
Let my body feel your warmth only
