Hi there, I'm Nathan King, family guy, carpenter, musician, artist and all round creative bloke. I'm 42 years old, father of 3 and married to my beautiful wife Claude.
My main passion is making music and working with wood. I've been using synths since I was 11 years old when my father gave me a Moog Opus 3 that he'd found in a skip and restored, I still have it to this day. I later inherited his Yamaha DX7 2fd and started creating music using them alongside my Commodore Amiga computer, I've always been a tech nerd as well as an artist. My very first passion was drawing and painting, I attended art college after leaving school. I've always loved to create.
During this time I built us a studio to rehearse in. I rented a shell of a unit which was basically bare brick and refurbed it.
I still have the studio 10 or 11 years on, it was always a dream of mine as a kid to have my own music studio. Fast forward a few years and I'm self employed, I work as a joiner, I have a small woodworking workshop and run the studio as a part time hobby studio for recording and rehearsals. I also started a Youtube channel and more recently a record label. The channel https://www.youtube.com/zafrosoundz is purely for my music, tutorials and basically anything I get up to in the studio. The label is run by me and a good friend who I've collaborated with many times as Married to Machines
The label, https://www.facebook.com/MCRTechno/ is growing with many talented artists contributing. Our ethos is to create an unsigned producers community to share and collaborate with each other and release music with no cost to the artists. I'm hoping I can grow the community using the Steemit platform.
I really want to start changing the way I live and work, embrace a new way of networking, sharing my music and creative exploits and hopefully help people along the way. When a friend of mine told me about the Steemit platform I was immediately interested in what it had to offer. I still have much to learn about Steemit, my journey starts here, pleased to meet you, please say hi :)
