Hello, Hive Friends, and a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms out here. It's Mother's Day, and today we honor all the hardworking, loving, caring, and best moms we have.
So what are your plans for today? Are you going to surprise your mom with some flowers, or are you going to take her out for dinner? No matter how big or small your gesture is for today, I'm sure your mom will really appreciate it. Even something as simple as letting her take a day off while you go ahead and do all the household chores will sure bring a big smile to their faces.
Running a house is hard, and taking care of the kids is no joke, so they deserve to be pampered on a special day.
As for me, since I am far away from my family and won't be able to greet my mom personally today, I just set up a cute surprise. I contacted my friend who is selling cakes to bake my mom a surprise Mother's Day cake, which will be delivered today. I'm just excited for my mom to receive my surprise, and I know she will love it since I chose one of her favorite flavors, ube cake.
Aside from the surprise I have back at home, we also took my partner's mom for dinner last night as an advance Mother's Day celebration. She was craving seafood, so we went to Black Beard Seafood Island located in Ayala, and of course I also brought her some flowers, which she really loved.
I particularly enjoyed the food in Black Beards Seafood Island, it's also one of my go to places in the city when I carve for some affordable and well cooked seafood.
Aside from the taste I also love their group meals. This platter only cost around ₱1,200.00 ($21.48) which already includes shirmp, grilled fish, scallops, chicken inasal, pork limepo and bbq plus some seaweed salad too. It's very worth it and we were really satisfied with our dinner.
We had a good chat and strolled around the mall after dinner. It was nice catching up with Tita since it's also been a year since I last saw her. It was a successful surprise, as she was just expecting that it was a post-birthday treat from us since we were unable to see each other on her birthday last month, and she was surprised with the bouquet of flowers that I got for her.

All in all, I say that my Mother's Day plans all worked out, and our moms really had a great time.
So don't forget to show your mom how much she means to you and let her know you appreciate and love her. Not just today, but make it every day.
