They say that a climber, desperate to conquer the Aconcagua, began his journey, after years of preparation. Climbing a cliff just a hundred meters from the top, it slipped and collapsed into the air. It was falling at great speed, I could only see quick darker spots that passed in the same darkness, and the terrible sensation of being sucked by gravity.

He kept falling ... and in those distressing moments, all the pleasant and not so pleasant moments of his life passed through his mind. I thought I was going to die; However, suddenly, he felt a strong pull that almost broke him in two ... Yes, like an experienced mountaineer, he had nailed security stakes with padlocks to a very long rope that tied him around the waist.

After a moment of stillness, suspended in the air, he cried out with all his might:

  • Help me God!…

Suddenly, a deep and deep voice from the heavens replied:

  • What do you want me to do, my son?

  • Save me, my God.

  • Do you really think I can save you?

  • Of course Mr.

  • Then, cut the rope that holds you ...

There was a moment of silence and stillness. The man clung more to the rope and reflected ...

The rescue team says that the next day they found a dead mountaineer hanging, frozen, holding hands tightly to a rope ... just one meter from the ground.

It is difficult to see the divine hand in what seems misfortune ... trust and follow, that something good awaits you.

For all the negative things that happen to us, we must say to ourselves: GOD HAS A POSITIVE RESPONSE TO THIS.

Why does God demand faith?

The Bible often speaks of the importance of faith in the knowledge of God. For example, Ephesians 2: 8 teaches: "For by grace you have been saved through faith." First Corinthians 13:13 adds: "Now, then, these three virtues remain: faith, hope and love. But the most excellent of these is love. "But, why does God require faith?

One way to answer why God requires faith is because He is our Heavenly Father. Our relationship with him is similar to other relationships in the sense that it includes trust in the other person, time together, love and respect. Because we can not fully know another person, much less an infinite God, all relationships require a certain degree of faith (trust). God is our Father and faith is needed to believe that God loves us and that He provides for our needs.

Faith is also important because God is not visible to humanity. Hebrews 11: 1 teaches us: "Now faith is the guarantee of what is expected, the certainty of what is not seen." We can not see God (John 1:18). However, we have faith in Him who provides security.

Faith is necessary to please God. Hebrews 11: 6 states: "In reality, without faith it is impossible to please God, since anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." Faith not only pleases God, it leads to rewards-eternal life, heavenly rewards, and the experience of the fullness of life on earth (John 10:10).

Faith in God is not "blind faith," as some argue. But it is a choice based on the information available. The Bible, the created world, the changed lives of believers, Jesus Christ, and other ways in which God acts in our world is a sufficient proof for people to choose faith in God. As Jesus taught in Luke 16:31: "If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone gets up from the dead."

Today I invite you to believe in God, today I encourage you to have faith that all the things that God has told you, he will fulfill because he is not a man to lie, nor a human being like us to deceive us. God does not lie what he told you he will fulfill, just have faith.

God bless you.
