Hello
I'm back with you again in this great community. May we all be blessed with good health, amen.
Sometimes we don't realize how much our words can inspire others. I only realized it when they had made a change and told me about it. I was immediately stunned and wondered, "Have I really brought about such a big change in them?" Yes, that's happened before, and I've also experienced something similar when speaking with a wise man. His words inspired me, and he didn't realize it.
Once, I attended a party at a friend's house, a few villages away from mine. Before entering the party, while I was parking my motorcycle, I happened to meet a wise man. We already knew each other. He had just arrived and greeted me, and he invited me to come inside with him. I immediately agreed.
As we walked, we chatted. At the entrance to the party, something seemed odd; there was no one to greet the guests. We were about to enter, so we stopped and looked around blankly. We were confused by the host's absence from the reception area. The other guests, like us, didn't dare enter because they hadn't been invited in. Suddenly, the village head arrived and invited everyone in.
Long story short, after enjoying the meal, I had a casual chat with the wise man. We had a casual conversation and a few jokes. Something inspired me during our conversation. The words were, "How noble a guest is when they arrive and are immediately greeted by the host and invited in." The fatigue of the journey disappears when greeted by the host. We should invite people to our home, so we should welcome them warmly. We shouldn't let something like that happen to us: when a guest arrives without anyone to greet them, they feel disappointed and as if their presence is unappreciated. After our conversation, we left.
At first, I didn't realize how meaningful those words were. When we got home, my wife asked how the party was. I then told her what had happened at the party, explaining that we weren't welcomed by the host. My wife simply dismissed it, saying, "Maybe the host was busy."
That night, I was still thinking about the issue: Was our presence really unwanted? Why did he invite us? And I was reminded of the words of a wise man I met at the party earlier: "If we have invited someone to our place, then we must welcome them."
Since then, I have become more respectful of guests and always treat them kindly and politely, whether they are guests I invited or guests who come voluntarily. Even though our religion strongly encourages treating guests well, I didn't realize it until it happened to me, and it was very disappointing.
I am very grateful for that incident, and I met a wise man. His words inspired me and changed my life. I went from being indifferent to guests to now deeply respecting guests and treating them politely. This is one of those sayings that, without realizing it, inspired me. In conclusion, we must speak kindly to others and be mindful of our words. Our words can inspire others, but they can also offend and hurt others.
