I'm more than excited these days, for I am starting a new chapter in my life.
This is a quote from a book I started last night, Siddharta by Herman Hesse. In this case, Govinda, Siddharta's loyal follower, comes with this phrase when his friend feels lost and loses all hope.

I used to be a very impatient individual, I wanted to see results as soon as possible. But all I ever got from that mindset were deceptions. The outcome was never what I imagined it to be, what I dreamt it to be. Fortunately I could interpret why: I wasn't putting any real effort, and by real I mean constant. Yes, constancy, habit, repetition, is what makes us reach our goals.
It might be a very evident way, but I realized that through exercising, which is in all kinds of forms, pure repetition. And I knew that I wouldn't get fitter in a matter of 2 days, so there was no point in being anxious about it. I just kept practicing. It's been more than 4 months now and I feel better than ever. My body is in better shape, and what's most important, I am healthy.I am now more calm, and less anxious about results.
I know things take time and practice, and with this idea I'm willing to start my introspection path. I don't know what I will find, but I'm sure I won't quit early, every moment counts and every step we take is worth the time we invest in it, and even more if we invest it in ourselves.
