Friends are the unique people who come into our lives when we least need them but later become the most important part of our lives by making it fun and worth living. Some friends are closer than blood relatives, yeah most people experience that, my friends have gotten to that level as well.
My friends see me as an extrovert and I've been arguing with them that I'm an introvert this case is still in court yet to be visited by the chief justice.
I find it simple to make friends, cause I'm jovial and a social butterfly, and one of my hobbies is traveling and meeting new people. I believe I will achieve this by being friendly to people, I know my looks also have played a role in this, I look so innocent and smile a lot so it makes it easier for people to approach me and for me to also approach others.
How do I go about it? I always make friends with people I can learn something from, those higher than me in my career, I love to make friends with people who are already achieving the goal I want to achieve so it can be easier for me to achieve mine. Before beginning a conversation I always start with a compliment, we are in times when people appreciate good compliments which makes them blush and melt their hearts. Once you start with a compliment you've successfully created room for more conversation.
The fewer friends the better
I know personal interactions lead to a strong and lasting relationship or friendship so having a few friends in my circle can allow me to achieve this because I have to devote time for it. In today's world, we try as much as we can to maximize our time, it requires you to sacrifice your time for your friends, time to hangout or calls for important conversations that last for hours cause we have activities to engage in, besides having too many friends doesn't guarantees withdrawing money from the bank so I don't believe in having too many friends cause I love my space and I wouldn't want it to be crowded. Truth be told I can't be close and tight with every single friend I make, what good is there to be surrounded by lots of people who don't me cause it doesn't seem appealing, there is a saying that we can still be lonely in a crowded room right?
I have few friends and I've learned a lot from them, I know we were raised by different parents, with different religious beliefs and different backgrounds but we came together and got to know each other more and also realized we could benefit from one another besides that's the main essence of friendship right? we come together to build a friendship where we can trust each other with our deepest secrets, we can share our life challenges and together we provide a solution to them now thats friendship, the few genuine friends I've got is much better than having a lot of friends in my life that I can't trust and they can't trust me in return.
I am better off with my small circle of friends cause most times friendship in the first place can be difficult to maintain.
