Last year, I was excited to announce that my parents finally got a dog of 6 months around February. Safe to say, that dog is now 2 years old today!

It's kinda like in honor of my 2 year old dog, we decided to get a second dog, a female, who could maybe grow up and be a friend to our first guy.

Meet Raven!

Raven is an 8 weeks old German shepherd and Caucasian mixed dog. She's really tiny, with the potential to grow a lot bigger than our first dog, Gaven, who's a pure German Shephard breed.

She's feisty like I hear females usually are and at the moment, we're still having a hard time figuring out what she can and can't eat. I tried noodles and rice last night but that got sent to the big dog.

She eventually just settled for bread, milk and water for now. I know I'll have to pick up some dog food pretty soon but I haven't had the time to leave the house to find something affordable that she might like. I just hope she doesn't starve before I get the chance.

Last night, being her first night, I let her share my bedroom with me but I don't think I'll be making it a habit so I'll let her sleep in the kitchen where we have a spot carved out for her.

She pooped on 3 different spots in my room and peed almost everywhere and woke me up by licking my nose by 5 am when I'm pretty sure the room had begun to irritate her. I was a little pissed but I expected it so I just cleaned it up and went back to bed.

She had been getting really attached to me all day but a few minutes ago I scared her a little so she's been running away. I can't wait to see how she grows up and copes with my absence in a few weeks.

Pets are exciting. I've always known my mom needed a baby to take care of and keep her company but I never thought she would ease in this quickly to a puppy. She carries her like an actual baby around the house and I can tell Raven loves her too.

She adjusted quickly to our home, almost like she was meant for us. And her relationship with Gaven is pretty good too. Although at first she kept barking at him but now she's more afraid of his barks.

I bet when she grows up they'll have a lot of fun playing around in our compound, but for now, we keep her indoors. I just hope she doesn't get too used to this. We have no intention of having an in house dog unless I get a smaller breed like a Lhassa.

I hope to give you all timely updates on Raven's growth. She's so precious to us already.
