Happy Monday Hivers!
She's my mom's second dog. Her first one passed away around 2022. After losing her, one of our neighbors gave my mom a puppy.
According to my mom, she was still very young when she got her, so she bottle-fed her with milk and took care of her until she grew up. Since then, she's become more than just a pet, she's been a beloved member of our family and our little happy pill.
Please meet our happy pill.
Her name is Marga, but we sometimes call her Ging-Ging. We don't have any young children in our family anymore, the youngest is already 20 years old. That's why my mom decided to raise a dog, so she would always have someone to keep her company whenever we're not around.
Marga has become more than just a pet. She's a cherished member of our family, bringing joy, comfort, and unconditional love into our home every single day.
One of our favorite things to do with Marga is tease her whenever we're carrying food. We'd ask her, "Do you want some?" and she'd immediately bark or howl in response. If she were a person, it would sound like she's saying, "Yes, I want some!"
We love how she "talks" to us, especially when we have food. But if we're not carrying anything to eat and try talking to her, she'll usually ignore us like we're not even there. Still, there are times when we greet her with a cheerful "Good morning," and she'll answer us with a bark or a little howl.
It's not just our family who enjoys Marga's company, our neighbors love her too. They always get a good laugh because she's so interactive and always seems ready to join the conversation.
Marga is now five years old. To be honest, I'm not very familiar with dog breeds, so I asked my mom what breed she is, but she doesn't know either.
I also have to admit that I wasn't really a dog person before. But because my mom loves dogs so much, I welcomed Marga into my life. Looking back, I'm so glad I did.
Now, she's one of the biggest sources of joy in our home. She fills our days with happiness, laughter, and just the right amount of noise. Life at home simply wouldn't be the same without her.
