TenX ICO, it was another nightmare!
I waited all week, read all the instructions, prepared my wallet and all for today's early morning 'TenX' ICO offering. With fingers ready at my keyboard, I waited for the webpage countdown to hit zero.
As soon as it gave me the que, I smashed down on the send key ... BURP! The screen gave me a 'gas input' error sign. Again I checked and recheck the numbers and they were correct. Again, I hit send over and over but that evil red banner kept popping up. Then I realized in my fit of nervousness that, I left in a comma in the gas number causing the error so I retyped and resent.
Sitting in the dark I was thinking, what should I do next, still sweating in excitement. Went to check the transaction and it showed 'pending'. Okay, it's on it's way I thought. After a while, I rechecked the transaction and the entire transaction was gone. Since I'm not too familiar with ICO's, I thought my transaction went through and I was a happy owner of the highly sought after TenX tokens.
Very soon, I realized that I had stayed awake in vein. Sob ... My wallet showed almost the same amount I had in it, minus the gas used for the transaction.
I thought 'what?', what happened? Didn't it work. I raced to twitter to see that the TenX ICO has ended after 8 seconds with 32 Million raised. How could that be? I was still fighting with my keyboard during my first few seconds...
Like with the Bancor ICO, I was in shock, you mean there are people so wild about ICOs that they will do anything to get those tokens of future wealth? You see the photo right below, somebody was willing to pay 25 Ether in transaction fees to get their payment through, that's $8,000 in fees, are they crazy???
I was very sad at this moment when I ran into something very evil. Like the staff at TenX said, that there maybe people out there was want to scam innocent people of their crypto during this highly anticipated ICO and I ran smack into one, then another. These bald people were even asking for payment after TenX stated that the sale was over. And how sneaky one account created their user name to look like the 'tenxwallet' official twitter account but using two capitalized i's in place of the L's in the name. They were asking all payments for the ICO be sent to a different address. I hope that people did not sent to them.
Same below, another asking people to send their crypto to a different address, scammers are all coming out of the woodwork ...
Okay on Monday June 26, I believe that's when the 'EOS' ICO is out, I will dive in with all wallets opened because I'm so upset that I lost the Bancor and now this TenX one.
