[ESP-ING] A happy day despite adversity

Un día que Venezuela casi se detuvo, y digo casi porque muchos negocios cerraron, otros perdieron dinero y quizás algunos mercancías si necesitaban refrigeración, y resulta que el 30 de agosto a las 4:40am se fue la luz en 20 estados de Venezuela, según las noticias que se dieron a conocer, lo cierto es que hace algunos años atrás ocurrió otro apagón nacional y fueron más de 2 días consecutivos y este era el temor de volver a vivir este momento.

En casa mi esposo lo primero que hizo fue cargar gasolina al vehículo, comprar comida y buscar agua potable, ya que no se sabía cuando volvería la luz, igual esa mañana salimos hacer nuestras obligaciones diarias, y pude darme cuenta que muchos negocios no abrieron y que las colas de gasolina no estaban normales.

Estuvimos haciendo varias diligencias en la mañana, los teléfonos no cargaban datos, las laadas no salían, era estresante a decir verdad, sobre todo cuando estamos tan acostumbrados al Internet y no podíamos comunicarnos, llegamos a casa y después de almorzar y descansar un rato decidimos salir al centro comercial y buscar un poco de Internet y así poder comunicarnos con algunos familiares y claro también aprovechar de revisar las publicaciones de Hive y de la comunidad que era algo que tenía pendiente.

No fuimos los únicos que pensamos en salir de casa a tomar aire fresco, muchas personas hicieron lo mismo, los pasillos colapsados gente cargando los teléfonos, tables y otros equipos, no había no donde sentarse, pero había Internet y pudimos comunicarnos.

Tuvimos una salida familiar sin planificación, ya que aprovechamos de ver tiendas, comer helados y compartir, habían muchas personas conocidas en el centro comercial así que sirvió de distracción y para socializar.

Ya en horas de la tarde a partir de las dos comenzaron a decir que ya algunos estados y zonas tenían luz, eso nos motivo y alegro, ya que poco a poco se estaba restableciendo el servicio eléctrico, como a las 5pm nos dijeron que por nuestra casa había llegado la luz e inmediatamente nos fuimos a casa después de pasar un buen día a pesar de las dificultades que se presentaron, esperemos que continúe el restablecimiento sin complicaciones nuevas.

One day Venezuela almost stopped, and I say almost because many businesses closed, others lost money and perhaps some goods needed refrigeration, and it turns out that on August 30 at 4:40am the power went out in 20 states of Venezuela, according to the news that were released, the truth is that a few years ago there was another national blackout and were more than 2 consecutive days and this was the fear of living this moment again.

At home my husband the first thing he did was to fill the car with gasoline, buy food and look for drinking water, since we did not know when the power would be back on, that morning we went out to do our daily duties, and I could see that many businesses were not open and that the gasoline lines were not normal.

We were doing several errands in the morning, the phones did not charge data, the phone calls did not go out, it was stressful to tell the truth, especially when we are so used to the Internet and we could not communicate, we got home and after lunch and rest a while we decided to go out to the mall and look for some Internet and so we could communicate with some relatives and of course also take the opportunity to review the publications of Hive and the community that was something I had pending.

We were not the only ones who thought of leaving the house to get some fresh air, many people did the same, the aisles were crowded with people carrying phones, tables and other equipment, there was nowhere to sit, but there was Internet and we were able to communicate.

We had an unplanned family outing, as we took the opportunity to see stores, eat ice cream and share, there were many people we knew in the mall so it served as a distraction and to socialize.

In the afternoon at two o'clock they began to say that some states and areas already had electricity, that motivated us and made us happy, since little by little the electricity service was being restored, at about 5pm they told us that the electricity had arrived at our house and we immediately went home after having a good day despite the difficulties that arose, we hope that the restoration continues without further complications.
