Cumpleaños de mi hermana

Saludos y bendiciones para todos, este sábado pasado para mi fue muy especial porque estuvo de cumpleaños una de mis hermanas, se trata de mi hermana Migdalia quien es la séptima de nuestra familia de 10 hermanos y hermanas, yo soy la tercera así que la considero aun como una hermana pequeña aunque ahora ha arribado a sus 50 años, un número asombroso pero que cuando se ha vivido a plenitud parece un abrir y cerrar de ojos.

Greetings and blessings to all, this past Saturday was very special for me because it was one of my sisters' birthday, it was my sister Migdalia who is the seventh in our family of 10 brothers and sisters, I am the third so I still consider her as a little sister even though she has now reached 50 years of age, an amazing number but when you have lived it to the fullest it seems like the blink of an eye.

El cumpleaños los festejamos en la casa paterna, donde mi papá con 89 años aun celebra la vida de cada uno de sus hijos componiendo versos alusivos a la vida del cumpleañero de forma graciosa, esta vez asistimos seis de los hermanos y unos cuantos sobrinos, otras amistades y vecinos, mi hermana Migdalia es una de las tías mas queridas de los sobrinos y los más pequeños siempre son apegados a ella porque los mima mucho.

We celebrated the birthday at our parents' house, where my father, who is 89 years old, still celebrates the life of each of his children by composing verses alluding to the birthday boy or girl's life in a funny way. This time, six of our siblings and a few nephews, other friends and neighbors attended. My sister Migdalia is one of the nephews' most beloved aunts and the little ones are always attached to her because she pampers them a lot.

Pudimos disfrutar de un delicioso pastel que hizo mi hija @irenenavarroart, también comimos mucho ya que mis hermanas prepararon una parrillada con carnes de chivo y también pollo, ensaladas y otros acompañamientos. Fue una noche muy amena cargada de risas y anécdotas, porque cuando nos reunimos los hermanos solemos ser conversadores entre nosotros, nunca falta la alegría cuando estamos juntos. Le pido a Dios que le de mucha vida y salud a mi hermana y que siga cumpliendo muchos años más, ella tiene un angelito en cielo que se llama Sebastián, mi sobrinito precioso que partió antes, pero que estoy segura que desde el cielo el cuida mucho a su mamá para que siga viviendo y celebrando su vida.

We were able to enjoy a delicious cake that my daughter @irenenavarroart made, we also ate a lot since my sisters prepared a barbecue with goat and chicken, salads and other accompaniments. It was a very pleasant night full of laughter and anecdotes, because when we siblings get together we tend to be conversationalists with each other, there is never a lack of joy when we are together. I ask God to give my sister a lot of life and health and that she continues to live many more years, she has a little angel in heaven named Sebastián, my precious nephew who passed away before her, but I am sure that from heaven he takes great care of his mother so that she continues to live and celebrate her life.
