Everybody looks forward for a year-end party
Year ends are time for parties and gatherings, everyone expects that but due to some bombing here in Mindanao, company owners retreated giving their employees discouragement. I mean who would not? It's the only time of year where employees would feel that they are important and appreciated for the whole year's work they'd done.
But my boss had another reason not to satisfy our request; two of the farms he owned had rambles from last year's Christmas party because if alcoholic beverages that leaked inside the company premises.
The year end party was scheduled today but it didn't happen so we improvised. Megafarm and Jobnet exchange gifts was held on December 22 and of course, food was there too.
The organizer insisted we pick names first from thsoe who had their names listed for the event and I picked Naduma's name, one of our hard working cleaner.
I had a hard time picking a gift for him, I and my co-workers planned on going to the mall on Thursday but it didn't happen because our boss came to the office. On Friday, I decided I should buy a pair of slippers and give some cash. My husband went with me to pick the gift and he was such a great help.
Perhaps because of my excitement ( I was rushing not to get to work late too) I was not able to take a photo of the slippers I bought and those moments I and my husband bought it.
Lucky me I didn't get late form work! The decors and some of the gifts were all ready and Jessa cooked the rice too. Time rolled by so fast and we all gathered together for food at 12. The food was great and we were filled. Everybody had a great time and seeing them that way makes my heart happy.
My walls were up for a long time that I forgot to socialize with the actual people around me. I hate dealing with them and I hate dealing with my sensitive emotions too. It drains me a lot.
I just sat there enjoying my food, laughing when something is laughable, taking pictures but barely blurting out what I wanted to say. But everything was a lot of fun!
Not long after, gift exchanging started, and it was then that they realized not everyone was present and they didn't send any gifts to be given to the names that they picked.
Greg ranted that it should have not been that way, picking of names should happen during the event so those who did not come will not be a problem at all.
But as every problem has its own solution, we made a way to settle it and got done.
Honesty, I did not know the name of the one who picked my name but he gave me these:
6 glasses, 4 bowls and a kid's cologne. The glasswares were all pretty and I was very excited to use them at home.
This is the first exchange gifts I joined for a long time and I realized it was fun. Thanks to 
I also had a "Sharon" that evening! There were lots of people who didn't come and tge rice budget was for over 30 people. So much was left so I brought home most of it so that it will not spoil. I asked my mom to fry the rice in the morning too, and as always, my mom make a delicious food even from scrap.
Lots of things happened to me lately, I felt drained and dragged but such is life, everything will get better one day.
Tomorrow today will be Christmas eve and I hope each of our tables and tummies will be filled with good food and our hearts be filled with great and pure joy.
