Hello beautiful makers and creators of Hive!

It’s been a little while since my last post. I have tried to stop by once each day to see what everyone is creating and posting. I really have enjoyed all the wonderful posts with regards to the use of jeans fabrics and the contest.

Today is my 53rd birthday and I am so thankful for this diverse and supportive group of people! God bless you all!

My current objective is to get projects completed, especially with the yarn I currently have on hand.

Below I have taken some photos of the handspun alpaca yarns that are being used in my shawl. I want this article of clothing to be useful and used daily so it needs to tie in the back. I am getting close, and am so excited to have a project for my handspun yarns.

The inner medium brown yarn was spun by the owner of the alpaca fibers. Marcia lives very close to me and I have met her alpacas before. It’s been a few years but if I go back to purchase some more fiber I take some photos. Alpacas are the sweetest animals!

The rest of the fibers I spun many years ago and am a little embarrassed at the inconsistency but that’s how you learn, right? Regardless, I love the colors and the fact that my handspun is being made into something I plan on wearing daily.

Much love to you all. Take care and God bless!
