The Sat Nam is a mantra that is used often in Yoga practice and stands for :
To practice this mantra you just need to say Sat on an inhalation and Nam on an exhalation
Here you are also telling yourself that you have to live for and from yourself. Trying to live from your own truth. Be yourself and stay close to the worths and norms that work for you.
Meditation is really an integral part of the whole yoga philosophy. The biggest reason start doing all the asanas or positions is just to be able to sit on the floor in lotus position for longer periods of time.
Meditation is what is done to rest and to centre your mind.
Through that we build Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (contemplation)
When you master all this you are on your way to Samadhi which is the final stage of enlightenment
The Chakras are the stages one needs to go through on the way to enlightenment.
These are represented in the body through different energy points which are often also pictured as spinning wheels of energy in different colours.
So Yoga is the Science about balance, getting to know ourselves in order to find the way between mind, body and breath
These last three weeks we have done the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with Green Yoga International in Mallorca and this really has gotten my farther on my path to enlightenment...
These three weeks have been well worth it and I am exited to start exploring teaching yoga to others. I will try to get make contact with the local yoga schools to see if they can use an extra teacher and will put to practice the skills I have learnt in these very intense last 21 days.
