Auch im Urlaub haben wir in diesem Jahr aufgrund der „Ihr-wisst-schon-Situation“ keinen Strandurlaub gebucht. Heimaturlaub war also angesagt.
Dennoch, am letzten Urlaubstag meiner Frau war es ihr Wunsch, doch zumindest im Urlaub einmal an die See zu fahren. Und somit haben wir uns an einem Freitag Vormittag aufgemacht an die holländische Nordseeküste.
Unser Ziel war „Monster“ in den Niederlanden. Der Ort heißt tatsächlich so und liegt nicht weit entfernt von Den Haag. Freunde haben uns den Strand dort empfohlen, da dieser im Gegensatz zu Scheveningen nicht so bekannt ist und daher weniger besucht ist.
Die Fahrt dauerte, dank Tempo-100 auf den niederländischen Autobahnen, ungefähr 2 Stunden. Der Tag war etwas windig und bedeckt. Eigentlich nicht das beste Wetter für einen Tag am Strand aber wir haben, wie immer das Beste daraus gemacht.

The journey took about 2 hours, thanks to speedlimit (100 km/h) on the Dutch highways. The day was a bit windy and overcast. Actually not the best weather for a day at the beach but we made the best of it, as always.

Auch aufdringliche Möwen gibt es hier. Unsere Tochter hat den Versuch gewagt und einen Cracker hochgehalten. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit kamen ungefähr 10 Möwen angeflogen und ihr wurde ihr der Cracker aus der Hand geholt. Leider habe ich hiervon kein Foto gemacht.
