So I finally watched the much talked about movie, BLACK PANTHER. Attention must be paid to the way black people are depicted in this movie. "Black Panther" is a compelling film about thriving African nation, not a crime ridden city nor slavery era plantation that weaves in pattern of vulnerability, negative stereotypes or dependence on white benefactors.

The lip plate are a form of ceremonial body modification. While many cultures uses them they are best known by the Surma and Mursi tribes in Ethiopia
W'kabi played by Daniel kuluuya and other several scenes from the movie adorned Basotho blanket around his neck. Though the blankets are originally from the Lesotho people.

08.Eric the killer monger, wears a mask which appears to have drawn an inspiration from Mgbedike, a relic of Igbo origin of southeast Nigeria. Mgbedike translate as "time of the brave" the mask typically depicts aggression.
