My plans for inkTober were too ambitious. I was planning on creating an SVG image. I would then color in the SVG image with Prismacolor and then finish off the image in ink. Too many steps meant that I would never finish the picture.
The prompt for Day 10 is "pick." I thought of all of the different types of picks that one encounters. For example, one could image scraping a strange thing off the teeth with a toothpick. Toothpicks are simply too long and narrow. So, I decided to draw a guitar pick.
Drawing a Guitar Pick is easy. It turns out that drawing the guitar takes a little bit of time and it is easy to make mistakes. I ended up drawing the wrong number of frets and even worse, I drew only five strings.
I tried to cover up the miscounted strings by drawing a snapped string. I then realized that I snapped it in the wrong place. I should have snapped the string where the pick meets the guitar.
Anyway, here is my attempt at drawing a guitar pick for #Inktober day 10. I will work on the SVG later. I could animate the SVG and have the pick strumming away on guitar. That would be pretty.
