Happy start to the week friends who love design and architecture around the world; welcome to my blog!

It is gratifying for me to be here with you again, after a time of absence, for reasons beyond my control, and to be able to share with you beautiful photographs of a house in the rural area of the municipality where I live, which really represent our origins. and our culture!

These types of buildings are very common in these areas, and they remind me a lot of my childhood when I studied, and they taught us about the stilt houses, and the indigenous houses, really, in my mind I associate them a lot, but the house that they I share today has a special meaning for me, a mixture of feelings between nostalgia, sadness and joy, because when I was young, when we traveled as a family with my father (+), on several occasions we passed in front of this house, and, it has always seemed beautiful, but I never had the opportunity to stop and take pictures, because we were traveling by bus, and there was no stop in that place; So, I was just content to look at it from afar, and keep the memory in my mind!

Two days ago I had the opportunity, together with my husband, to go to the rural area with some friends, and, since we were driving our own car, as we passed in front of the house, I asked our friend to please park so I could come closer. to the house, and photograph it, we parked, and I was able to enter the house (at the moment it is uninhabited), it was a very gratifying moment for me, it brought me memories of the trips with my father, and, being able to fulfill that wish that As a child I was able to photograph the house, perhaps for many it is something simple and insignificant, but for me it has a lot of emotional value, we stopped there for a while, we entered the house, up to the patio, we found a windmill, which is used to draw water, despite being uninhabited, it is still very well preserved!

The bases of the house are about 1 meter high, made of cement adorned with large stones, which give it a rustic but beautiful look, the entire base, both outside and inside are covered with stone, and the beams are quite thick all wood, this made me think that a few days ago we did a remodeling at home, and bought porcelain, which by the way, are quite expensive, and could have used stones, which is so beautiful! hehehehe

A beautiful aspect of the house, is the roof, which is made of coroba palm, a plant that represents our essence, and that fills us with pride, very used in the gastronomic part, in the elaboration of garments, and even in the elaboration of roofs, the caicareños are proudly coroberos!

It is quite high, so that it is cooler, the palm is well dense to prevent it from getting wet when it rains; cone-shaped, and all the beams are made of wood and fastened with wire.

At the back of the house there was a similar small building, but with a zinc roof.

There was also a tank and a windmill used in those areas to pump water!

At the front it has a small garden framed with a small cement base, where despite being uninhabited, you can see a beautiful plants that have been kept flourishing by the rainy season.
