Too many people think that numbers start at one (1.)
The truth is, numbers do not even start at zero (0.)
Before you can ever even get to zero, you have to go
through -3, -2 and -1 before you can get to zero. More
can be said for the other negative numbers that are less
than -3. We are are talking about negative infinity and
after it finally reaches zero (0,) we go on to one (1)
and continue forward through infinity.
The point is that numbers never end, no matter which
direction that you count those numbers in. There is no
beginning number and no ending number, whether you
can actually count high or not, giving up? Numbers are
endless and there is even reason to believe that there
are other dimensions that we cannot see. Zero to ten
(0-10) is only 2 or at most 3 diminsions, depending on
your opinion, and how you count, whether or not you
try to ignore zero and less (negative numbers) and from
there to your religious beliefs.
Humans visualize numbers as linear, often starting
at a comfortable "1" or even zero, if that is your opinion,
but in reality, there is no start or end to numbers. In
reality, if you are realistic, the scope of numbers and
everything that numbers can represent is staggeringly
mind-blowing and numbers or math can be used to
index virtually (and realistically) anything.
So the linear method that we use to describe and
ubderstand the "Electro-magnetic spectrum" should
not be any different... We appear to ignore or just
not be interested in building more sensitive devices
that can measure frequencies beyond "gamma,"
which we tend to think of as the highest frequency
and likewise, we also tend to ignore lower frquencies
at the opposite end of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Is ignoring frequency ranges that we collectively
choose to ignore or give up on the best course we
can take? I think NOT!
There are many things that we as humans cannot
explain. Ignoring the infinite nature of numbers and
however many diminsions that numbers can exist
in is foolish and ignorant because numbers have
neither a beginning nor ending.
When we ignore a start (beginning) or an ending
(stopping) of numbers we limit or self-limit our own
understanding of this universe (or metaverse.)
Numbers being infinate in many dimensions or
directions could mean that we could be ignoring
most of what is really going on in the universe.
Maybe numbers are spherical or circular at the
same time as numbers are linear.
Ignoring the infinite nature of numbers, when we
do, will eventually cause many problems. This
universe is constantly changing and if we keep
ignoring the fact that numbers have no start or
end, at some point we will be surprised to see the
end.
