Diy Top with recycled shirt, very easy / Diy Top con camisa reciclada, muy fácil

Today I was cleaning out my daughter's closet and I found some shirts that no longer fit her because they are too small, so I thought of making some tops for her to wear in the day to day, at home since she likes to be very cool because of the heat in the state of Monagas. Although it can also be useful if she goes to a pool, beach or river, as it is very cool.

Hoy estaba limpiando el closet de mi hija y encontré alguna camisas que ya no le sirven porque le quedan pequeñas, entonces pensé en realizar unos tops para que ella los use en el día a día, en la casa ya que le gusta estar muy fresca por el calor que hace en el estado Monagas. Aunque también le puede servir si va para una piscina, playa o rio, ya que es muy fresco.

Los invito a ver este Tutorial que será el primero de algunos que haré para aprovechar las telas o ropas que tenemos sin usar.

I also make another cut, this time vertically across the center front of the shirt, which will be the front of the new top.

Dispongo de la camisa que voy a reutilizar y la corto horizontalmente debajo de su sisa de un lado al otro.
También hago otro corte esta vez en forma vertical por todo el centro frontal o delantero de la camisa, que será el frente o delantero del nuevo top.

I will start sewing on the upper edge, since cutting this end will leave it free, this seam will be sewn with a sewing machine and with a straight stitch.

Empezaré a coser en el borde superior, ya que al cortar este extremo va a quedar sin libre, esta costura la hago a máquina de coser y con puntada recta.

Now I'm going to make the seams on the vertical edges that I cut on the front of the top. For this I will also use a straight stitch, but making sure to leave a space to serve as a tunnel for the strip that I will place.

Ahora voy a hacer las costuras a los bordes verticales que corté en la parte delantera del top. Para ello voy a igualmente usar una puntada recta, pero garantizando que quede un espacio para que sirva de túnel para la tira que ubicaré.

This is what the seam looks like and you can see the space or tunnel that will be available to pass the strip.

Así luce la costura y pueden ver el espacio o tunel que va a quedar disponible para pasar la tira.

The strip is very easy, since I am working with a cotton shirt, I just cut the strip about 2 cm wide and stretch it with my hands, so it will roll up and it will not be necessary to make a seam. This technique to make the strips works in cotton fabrics as well as in liquified fabrics, this saves us a lot of work, but it is important to know that the fabric responds in this way.

La tira es muy fácil, ya que al estar trabajando con una camisa de tela de algodón, solo corto la tira de 2cms de ancho aproximadamente y la estiro con mis manos, con lo cual ella se va a enrollar y no será necesario realizar una costura. Esta técnica para hacer las tiras funciona tanto en telas de algodón como en telas licradas, esto nos ahorra mucho trabajo, pero es importante saber que la tela responde de esa forma.

To introduce the strip through the channel or tunnel that we established in the top, I will use a pin of this type that closes and we can then pass the entire strip, as shown in the image.

Para introducir la tira por el canal o tunel que dejamos establecido en el top, voy a utilizar un alfiler de este tipo que se cierran y podemos entonces pasar toda la tira, como se ve en la imagen.

When I put the strip through the upper part, I pull it out through the lower part and pass it through the other end again, now from the lower part so that it comes out through the top.
And with these simple steps I have made this fresh and youthful top.

Al meter la tira por la parte superior la saco por la inferior y la vuelvo a pasar por el otro extremo, ahora desde la parte inferior para que salga por arriba.
Y ya con estos sencillos pasos queda confeccionado este top tan juvenil y fresco.

My daughter is happy with her top, it is very comfortable and when she is in the house she likes to be this cool to do the activities around the house, and she can also wear it to go out to the pool or to the backyard.

Mi hija está feliz con su top, es muy cómodo y cuando está en la casa le gusta estar así de fresca para hacer las actividades de la casa, y también lo puede usar para salir a la piscina o al patio.

She crossed the straps in the front and put it together behind her neck, very easy.

Ella cruzó las tiras en la parte de alfrente y la armarró detrás de su cuello, muy fácil.
