NGC281 - The Pacman Nebula
Lying in the constellation of Cassiopeia and about 9500 Lightyears distant, the area glows through ionization caused by the massive stars in the middle of the Nebula.
Inside the Nebula are so called "Bok Globules", dark clouds where new stars are being formed.
This was one of the earliest shots with my NEQ6 SynScan tracking mount and the 8" F5 Newton I bought back in 2012.
