There is unparalleled kindness in nature

I wanted to share with you the story of how I met this amazing butterfly a few weeks ago.


She was swimming in a water tank that I have in the back of my house, I almost did not believe it when I saw her. First, I was delighted with the colors she had and second I was a bit frightened by the fact that she did not freak out when she saw me approach to take the picture, so I quickly looked for something to get her out of there. The poor thing was soaked and her fluttering weighed because of how wet her wings were.


Naturally, she was a little scared of me, however I did everything a could to put her on the edge of the tank so she could sit quietly cuz I could not let her go to the floor, because she still couldn’t fly and I have cats so I feared for his life. So I stayed there with her waiting and watching her. Step by step she was walking and approaching me a little, that way I could take that incredible photo. I feel it was very kind of him to let me capture her essence with my camera and not run away, I became fond of her.

After a few minutes his wings were moving more fluidly and I could observe the moment when he took off.
I still feel that she comes to visit me sometimes. Around a tree that I have in the yard I could see several times a butterfly very similar to her fluttering around, I want to believe that she feels grateful in some way and it is her way of showing it.
