Hello everyone! I planned to head out somewhere far in the morning with my family. I was up at least an hour and a half early so I had some extra time. I decided to draw something as the sun was shining brightly at my room window and I love the morning natural light.
I got ready and had my breakfast. While the rest of my family was getting ready, I drew. I did think a lot on what to draw and landed on this as it was morning and I was also going to have another round of breakfast like elevensies but in my case it was tensies. I had nasi lemak as my second breakfast. It's a famous, yummy local meal.
I wanted to draw a pen drawing. As I just had some tea and biscuits, I drew a teapot. I feel like if I think too much, I start to get artist's block. So this time since I was also in a rush to go out, I just drew whatever that came to my mind. I also added a stove and the buttons. I have never used such stove before but I saw it recently at my uncle's new home.
Then, I added a little rod to hang a cloth kitchen towel. At home, I have at least 3 of such towels used daily for wiping different things. One for plates and utensils, one for large pots and one for surface wiping. I really wanted to add a table on the left but I didn't have much space. So I adjust added a table top with a plant. I added some vague leaves so I can pretend that it is a mint plant.
I forgot to add an oven below the stove. I remember my uncle's one had it. I drew that and struggled trying to cover the oven door with ink. I did lines both horizontally and vertical, so it became like a scrambled mess. But I guess I will make do with it.
I finished up with a few more details and extra lines. Finally, I added a pop of colour using my coloured ball pens. I drew a little pink floral design on the cloth, some green on the plant and some orange on the brick wall.
This is the final outcome, along with my pens. For some reason, it looks darker than the other images. I guess due to the timing as the sun position was changing. I'm called this artwork done and it was time to go out.
