Astylus trifasciatus (family Melyridae) is a common endemic beetle in Chile's central region. Being an anthophile beetle, meaning it visits flowers, as well as hairy, it's a good pollinator; the pollen grains get stuck on the hairs. Astylus trifasciatus (Melyridae), comúnmente llamado pololo, es un escarabajo endémico común en la zona central de Chile. Al ser antófilo (que visita flores) y estar cubierto de muchos pelos, es un buen polinizador; los granos de polen quedan atrapados por los pelos.
