Hey everyone! I’ve got a special fan art to share today, inspired by Chirple and the Forest Healer. This is actually the first time I’ve created the creature itself, something I hadn’t done before since I usually mix both characters together in my previous work.
I’m super excited about how it turned out – it gave me a chance to explore new ideas and refine details that truly bring Chirple’s essence to life, blending its connection to nature with the enchantment of the forest. By combining the Healer’s serene presence with Chirple’s tenderness, I aimed to create something that feels both magical and heartwarming.
Honestly, I think it turned out pretty decent! This experience has inspired me, so I might try designing another creature in the future—maybe experimenting even more with their traits and interactions. Can’t wait to see where this creative journey takes me next!
I left some GIFs so you can check out the process. The quality isn’t the best, tho—since I recorded the video, edited it, and then converted it into GIFs, the resolution took a hit.
I started with a loose sketch to capture the pose. I threw in a little color blob for Chirple, but I didn’t focus on it at first—my main attention was on the Forest Healer. At this stage, everything looked kinda weird, but I didn’t mind. I just kept going, working from dark to light.

Once I was happy with the rough shapes, I refined the silhouette and details of the girl. Things started looking better, and I also figured out where to place the ornamental elements and base details. I made a few overall adjustments—still working on a single layer, as always—so I just tried to separate the background from the characters a bit for better refinement.

I used vibrant tones like green and gold for the outfit, hair, and natural elements of the Forest Healer. For some reason, I was super focused on finishing the girl first—why? No clue, lol—but I kept working on her details before moving on.

Then came the background and the creature! I know, it looks like I rushed it in the video, but tbh, I took my time refining everything. There were parts I didn’t like, so I kept tweaking them over and over.

Once I felt good about how the girl looked, I moved on to adding some details to the background and finally started drawing the creature. I added some glow and ambient lighting—I wanted the Forest Healer to have super voluminous hair.

I also wanted Chirple to be a tiny, cute little thing… but idk, does it look cute to you? 🤔 I used the same brush for everything and hand-painted the feathers. Funny thing—I originally gave it little legs, but later decided to hide them. It just looked better that way.

The final render is where everything comes to life. After a few final touches, here’s the finished piece! I’m really happy with how the mix of Chirple and the Forest Healer turned out. Hope you like it!
